AREAS OF PRACTICE

Michael R. Weiss rejoined the law firm of Epstein, Turner & Song, P.C. in 2004 after spending four years with the Business and Tax Section of the California Attorney General's Office.  Mr. Weiss has broad experience in many areas of complex business litigation, insurance, reinsurance and insurance insolvency.  While with the Attorney General's office, Mr. Weiss was lead counsel and successfully handled complex business, insurance and tax cases before state, federal and appellate courts, and has handled reinsurance arbitrations and disputes. 

EDUCATION AND MEMBERSHIPS

Mr. Weiss graduated with highest honors from the University of California, Santa Cruz (B.A. Economics, 1988).  He obtained a Masters of Science in Applied Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz (M.S. 1989).  Mr. Weiss obtained his juris doctorate from Santa Clara University School of Law (J.D. 1995). 

Mr. Weiss is a member of the State Bar of California and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.  Mr. Weiss is admitted to practice before all California State Courts, all United District Courts for California and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
